Unramble Privacy Policy
Effective November 1, 2026 · Unramble is made by Unramble LLC.
Unramble turns long talking videos into short, clean videos. This policy explains what information the app uses, why, and what happens to it. We keep it simple: we use your videos only to edit them for you.
What we collect
- Your account. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and a Google account ID. We use them to keep your videos and plan with your account, so they are there if you reinstall the app or change phones.
- Videos you choose to edit. When you add or record a video, a compressed copy (including its audio) is uploaded to our cloud service so it can be edited.
- Information created from your videos. A written transcript of what is said, the edit choices (which parts are kept, removed or reordered), the finished video and a small cover picture.
- Your plan and usage. Which plan you have, whether you are in a free trial, when it renews, and how many videos you have edited in the current month. Payments are handled by Google Play. We never see or store your card or bank details.
- App IDs. A random ID the app uses to list your videos, and a notification token so we can tell you when a video is ready.
- Basic technical logs. Like most online services, our cloud provider records technical details such as IP address, time of request and errors, used to keep the service running and secure.
We do not collect your contacts or location. We do not use advertising or tracking tools.
How we use it
- To transcribe and edit your videos, and to show them in My videos.
- To let you change an edit, add parts back and save or share the finished video.
- To check your plan with Google Play and count the videos included in it.
- To send notifications when a video is ready or your changes are saved (you can turn these off in your phone's settings).
- To answer support requests, fix problems and keep the service working.
We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or use your videos for any other purpose.
Service providers
Your videos are processed on Google Cloud (storage, speech-to-text and Gemini AI on Vertex AI) and Deepgram (transcription). Sign-in and notifications use Google Firebase, and subscriptions are processed by Google Play. These providers process the data only to provide this service to us.
How long we keep it
Uploaded videos, transcripts, edits and finished videos are deleted automatically 30 days after they are created. Save any video you want to keep to your phone. Removing a video from My videos takes it off your list right away, and its files are deleted within 30 days. Your account and plan information are kept while you have an account.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → Delete account. This deletes your account, your videos, edits and usage records. Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription; cancel it in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions. You can also ask us to delete your data by emailing klsstudiosupport@gmail.com.
Security
Videos are sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored in Google Cloud, which encrypts stored data. Access to your videos requires a private link that expires.
Phone permissions
- Camera and microphone: to record videos inside the app when you tap Record.
- Photos and videos: to pick the videos you want to edit and to save finished videos to your gallery.
- Notifications: to tell you when a video is ready or saved.
- Internet and network status: to upload videos and to tell you if you are on mobile data.
Children
Unramble is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Important changes will also be shown in the app.
